Meet the Legends: A Q&A with Baseball's Finest

Bob Heussler is a legendary sports announcer who has been a staple in Connecticut and NY sports media for 30+ years.  His on-air play-by-play career has involved work for both UConn Football and Basketball, and one of his greatest calls during this time came when Tate George famously hit the game winner vs Clemson in the Sweet Sixteen of the 1990 NCAA Tournament. Bob has also been the play-by-play announcer for Fairfield University’s men's basketball for more than 35 seasons and was also inducted into the Fairfield Athletics Hall of Fame last January. Heussler also served as play-by-play radio broadcaster for Connecticut Sun during their first 17 seasons. Heussler is a long-time Mets fan, and even goes by “Mr. Met,” a nickname that gained prominence during his time with WFAN Sports Radio which dates back to 1993!
