Deductive Blind Tasting Seminar Hosted by the USA Wine Team

Saturday, January 24th | 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Earth Ballroom

Led by the USA Wine Tasting Team, this immersive seminar introduces guests to the art of blind tasting through a structured, sensory-driven approach. Learn how to decode a wine’s identity by analyzing its appearance, aroma, and palate.

Through a step-by-step deductive process, guests will explore:

Appearance: Color, legs, clarity, and viscosity
Aroma: Primary, secondary and tertiary aromas
Palate: Initial impact, Acidity, tannins, alcohol, fruit flavors, body, and finish
Synthesis & Deduction: Forming a logical hypothesis to identify grape, region, and style

The USA Wine Tasting Team is comprised of:

Katy Long - Team Captain, DipWSET
Paige Bindel - Certified Sommelier
Ryan Robinson - DipWSET, Advanced Sommelier
David Reuss - Master Sommelier (2025)

This seminar is ideal for wine professionals and enthusiasts alike, offering a deeper appreciation of wine and sharpening your tasting skills.
