Emo Philips

EMO PHILIPS is a true comedy original and widely regarded as one of the greatest joke writers of all time. Described by Jay Leno as “the best joke writer in America,” EMO PHILIPS has performed more than 7,000 stand-up shows worldwide, including a multi-week run at London’s West End Playhouse Theatre and a legendary, standing-ovation performance at Carnegie Hall. His instantly recognizable delivery, surreal observations, and razor-sharp wordplay have earned praise from comedy icons like Eric Idle, Patton Oswalt, Penn Jillette, and Rolling Stone, which declared he “absolutely killed.” From 2018 through 2023, EMO PHILIPS toured internationally with “Weird Al” Yankovic across three continents, solidifying his cult-favorite status with new generations of fans. Equal parts brilliant, bizarre, and joyfully unpredictable, EMO PHILIPS delivers a live stand-up experience that is as intellectually sharp as it is laugh-out-loud funny.
