The ToneShifters were formed in the fall of 2009.
Originally formed primarily as a Blues band, it soon became apparent that their mutual love of all types of music eventually pulled them into exploring all the genres that encompass American Roots and Rock and Roll. The individual musical tastes of the band members began to mesh into a blend of danceable music which the band now refers to as "Swinginrockabluesabilly"
A past New England Music Award nominee, the band was most recently featured in a Music of America Podcast worldwide as well as an E-zine Interview with Aldora Britain Records in the UK where they have had six of their songs included on four different music compilations featuring independent artists from all over the world.
Their most recent releases Sun Session- Live! Raw! Vintage! and Alabama Moon were recorded at the iconic Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee and Fame Studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
The band has also added Connecticut/New York Blues/Rock Hall of Fame guitarist Tom “The Suit” Forst into their line up and are excited to see what the future holds.
