Robert Plant Presents the Sensational Space Shifters has announced its first North American tour dates. This dynamic and powerful new incarnation of Plant's musical vision has been touring the world, most recently in Australia and New Zealand. The Brisbane Times said "What's going on is further proof that Plant is far more imaginative, playful and adventurous than any cliche, a man who's absorbed all the music he's loved and played and sought out the musicians to explore that," while Adelaide Now hailed, "The Sensational Space Shifters are everything their name suggests."
Fifty years on - drawing from a lifetime of adventures, tracking the dark, beautiful resonator, Plant follows his heart and lifts his voice higher and joyous ever away. A voice of experience and learning from the sounds of Southside Chicago Electric Blues; of Griot mantras from West Africa; from Louisiana Dance Halls; Greenwich Village Folk hangover; Haight Ashbury indulgences; Moroccan medina breakbeat; the early English radical techno materials, Texas two-step and Bristol Dubstep.
Before his recent projects in Nashville with Alison Krauss and Band of Joy, Plant worked alongside the very interesting force, "Strange Sensation," recording the critically acclaimed, multi-Grammy nominated albums - Dreamland and Mighty Rearranger. From this platform, Sensational Space Shifters has developed. Now together these confederates and conspirators dig deeper and more intensely, always twisting and turning, bringing the past into a brilliant technicolour present.

The Dunwells

Striking an exhilarating blend of English Rock and American Roots music, The Dunwells' songs arrive both ready for the fight and the fallout. Emerging from the pubs and clubs of Leeds, England, their hometown in 2009, The Dunwells are brothers Joseph Dunwell (vocals, guitar) and David Dunwell (guitar, piano, banjo) along with cousins Jonny Lamb (vocals, drums) and Rob Clayton (bass) and longtime best mate Dave Hanson (guitar, pedal steel). "We are genuinely best mates," explains singer, songwriter and guitarist Joseph Dunwell. "We sometimes bicker and fight, but then we hug and make up and go out for a drink." Their stellar musicianship, classic roots songwriting and soaring harmony vocals have already made instant but lasting impressions on scores of fans.

Alternative rockers 10,000 Maniacs has been active since the early 80s. To date, the band has released thirteen albums and scored a #1 single with "There Are Days" in 1992. 10,000 Maniacs are also well-known for their cover of Roxy Music's "More Than This" and Patti Smith Group's "Because The Night."

Leftover Salmon

Looking back over the past 25 years of rootsy, Americana, string-based music, the impact of Leftover Salmon is impossible to deny. Formed in Boulder, CO in 1989 the group was one of the first Bluegrass bands to add drums and tour Rock & Roll bars, helping Salmon become a pillar of the jam band scene and unwitting architects of the jam grass genre.

Mike Britt's dedication and passion for comedy have landed him appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, Def Comedy Jam and his own Comedy Central special. In addition to bringing down the house at Just For Laughs in 2001 & 2005, "Mike B." has also had the pleasure of entertaining comedy fans on the 2004 Just For Laughs Canadian Comedy Tour, all over the United States and as far away as Jamaica and Holland. The Brooklyn, New York native's greatest joy comes from being able to make people of different backgrounds, races and religions all laugh at the same time.
Jordon Ferber started his stand-up comedy career in 1999 at the age of 21. While majoring in film at Occidental College, he became a regular host at The Garage in Los Angeles. For the next two years, he honed his skills and ultimately decided to pursue stand-up in the big city, moving back to New York in 2001. As a native New Yorker, he had no trouble getting on the circuit and has since performed in almost every club in Manhattan, including Caroline's, the Gotham Comedy Club and even Madison Square Garden. His unique delivery and ironic take on life is always funny, and has made him a favorite on the NY scene. He is the producer of a weekly stand-up comedy showcase called "Straight Up Stand Up" in the West Village. He has been seen on NBC's Last Comic Standing, NBC's The Restaurant and is a regular on The Joey Reynolds Show on WOR. He was featured in the New York Underground Comedy Festival's Emerging Comics Contest.
As a professional stand-up comedian and actor, Joey Novick has appeared on MTV, One Life to Live and Comedy Central. He's featured regularly at Catch A Rising Star, The Comedy Zone and Dangerfield's and at scores of comedy venues across the country. He's opened in concert for comedy legends Jerry Seinfield, Ray Romano, Paul Reiser, Chris Rock, Robert Klein and Rosie O'Donnell. He is an award-winning public speaker and as an improv actor, he's had the privilege of appearing with Robin Williams at the Comic Strip in NYC, and studied with Chicago's famed Second City improvisational theater with director Del Close. He was also hired by The Ricki Lake Show as a comedy coach for young comedians.
