View event details for RC Smith featuring Keith Anthony with special guest Bob DiBuono

The Cabaret Theatre

$20

Tickets On Sale: Monday, April 23, 2012 at 10:00am

RC Smith is known in the television and comedy industry as one of the best warm-up men in the business. A truly great warm-up comic can jumpstart an audience from nothing to something and has to do it right from the start. He has to have great energy as soon as he hits the stage and he has to be right on the money. Quick, smooth and funny, RC Smith is that guy.

RC is currently and has been the longstanding warm-up comic for Rachael Ray and has also done warm-up for The Colbert Report, The Tony Danza Show, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, The Caroline Rhea Show, Ricki Lake and NBC's Clash of the Choirs. Not only does RC ignite a live television studio audience, he also does the same thing in a comedy club, theatre, private party or corporate event.

In 2003, Keith Anthony reemerged as a voice of reckoning. Within a year he was on the NYC circuit and on the air. From AOL to XM radio, Keith is once again emerging as a force to be seen. Featured in two comedy festivals and performing nightly on the circuit, it is hard not to catch his show. Keith offers a point of view that is alternative, yet not off the path of entertaining. He has verve for life and a care for his culture and country that he conveys through each performance. Keith delivers a show that is not recommended for people seeking juvenile talk about sex and the difference between men and women. Also, if you are one of those people who can't turn off your electronic devices when going out for the evening, the Keith Anthony show is not for you either.

Bob DiBuono's comedic perspective finds the fodder and silliness in ourselves and our existence through the vibrant characters and voices he illustrates for his audience. His unique ability to embody abstract personas along with his child-like playfulness provides a landscape for great comedy leaving an audience feeling connected to his world.

Bob's honesty and self awareness into his own shortcomings and life's challenges makes him accessible to all of us. Growing up in a family with anxiety disorders and addiction, Bob has used the stage as a vehicle to parody these events and the world around him.

Bob DiBuono has provided his voices, impressions and characters to MTV Europe, E! Entertainment, Good Day New York, Galavicion's Comedy Picante, Pax Television and WNEW's "Opie and Anthony Show.” Bob is currently working in clubs in NY and around the northeast region.

View event details for Colin Kane featuring Vanessa Hollingshead with special guest Cipha Sounds

Tickets On Sale: Monday, April 23, 2012 at 10:00am

Billed by Dennis Miller as "the next really big comedian" and described by fans as "acerbic and brilliant," Colin Kane nailed down the winning spot on Howard Stern's Kill or Be Killed and is a serial guest on the zenith of early morning radio, The Opie and Anthony Show. Kane's talent and prolific vocation have allowed him the opportunity to work for everyone from the racially charged Paul Mooney to the deeply perceptive Jerry Seinfeld, playing on his ability to appeal to a diverse cross section of audiences.

Kane's unequaled defining factor is his knack for incorporating improv into his sets, maintaining a level of surprising originality in each performance. Rarely does a comedian come along that has the verbal agility to spin rapid fire wit and comebacks so smoothly. After a successful two year run at the world renowned Carolines on Broadway, Kane has continued his meteoric rise in the comedy scene by playing to 7,000 fans at Madison Square Garden. With his sardonic banter and brazen observations, Kane has solidified his reputation as an entertainer who can not only fill seats, but enrapture the general masses and create a legion of unwavering followers.

Vanessa Hollingshead was recently on VH1's Lords of the Revolution, has had her own Comedy Central Presents, has taped her second DVD at Gotham, American Anglomaniac and has taped her third DVD, Drunk at Stand Up New York. She also has had critical acclaim with her one-woman show "Flashback," and just completed her second one-person show called The Hold.

Before moving on from Shade 45, Cipha Sounds started a podcast that became the weekend morning show on Hot 97 with Peter Rosenberg. The show was called The Cipha/Rosenberg Experience. The show's extremely high ratings for its time slot was unheard of, so Hot 97 moved The Cipha/Rosenberg Experience to Monday-Friday, 5:00am to 7:00am and in August took the entire daypart from 5:00am to 10:00am.

View event details for Jimmie J.J. Walker "Dy-no-mite" featuring Stephanie Peters with special guest Brian Cichocki

Spotted by the casting director for Norman Lear of All in the Family fame, Jimmie "J.J." Walker accepted a part in Lear's new urban-styled comedy series, Good Times. The role of the broadly strutting, wisecracking J.J. Evans would launch him into television superstardom. "Dyn-o-mite!" was the phrase that made him famous nationwide. As Good Times enjoyed a six-year run, Walker's fame grew exponentially. He was the first winner of the NAACP Image Award and won a Golden Globe nomination for "Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series." Clothing, tee-shirts and even a talking doll that blurted out his signature catch phrase were soon on store shelves everywhere.

Comedy Diva, Stephanie Peters, grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts, idolizing local funnyman Lenny Clarke and his buddies Jay Leno, Denis Leary and Steven Wright, who honed their stand-up chops at the now-famous Ding Ho. Now, she's appearing on the same bill.

In just one year, Stephanie skyrocketed from playing tiny clubs in Boston's suburbs to strutting her own brand of bawdiness in Leary's "Comics Come Home" benefit, where she shared the limelight with Clarke, Wright and Jay Mohr.

Comedians call him "smooth," "subtle," "dry," "smart"…audiences just call him hilarious. Whether exploring the ins-and-outs of prison life, or trying to decipher the correct code of behavior in a Chic NY Hair Salon, Brian Cichocki filters a range of topics through a distorted lens. Brian has appeared at numerous clubs in New York City, including Carolines on Broadway, as well as performing all around the country as both an actor and comedian.
