To the delight of Parrotheads Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band return to Mohegan Sun Arena.

Jimmy's upcoming album, Buffet Hotel (one t), is scheduled for release in December. The title cut has a strong West African influence and was conceived during a trip to the "Festival In The Desert," a music festival that takes place annually near Timbuktu, Mali.  "It was one of the best musical experiences of my life," said Jimmy.  It was there that Jimmy ran across the Buffet Hotel, an old colonial era train station/hotel which was the venue for the music scene that exploded in Mali after its independence in 1960.

Tailgating and Concert Rules

Tailgating will only be permitted in designated parking lots on the Mohegan Sun property, which will be available starting at 10:00am.  Only concert ticket holders will be allowed to park in the designated tailgating area.  Please have your tickets ready to show to parking attendants.

There will be extremely limited parking in the areas designated for tailgating, especially with respect to oversized vehicles.

Please note that once the designated tailgating area is full, all vehicles will be directed to park in other lots or garages, where tailgating is strictly prohibited. 

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED ON MOHEGAN SUN PROPERTY:

  • Glass containers or bottles
  • Kegs
  • Charcoal grills (propane only - 20 lb. cylinder maximum)
  • Dumping of sand (artificial beaches)
  • Pools - large containers of water
  • Trailered vehicles (e.g., boats and ATV's)
  • Weapons of any kind

Mohegan Sun Arena doors will open at 6:00pm for the concert; please note that there is no opening act for this show.  We encourage guests to enter the Arena as early as possible.

All usual venue rules will apply. Please note that all patrons will be subject to pat downs/searches upon entering the arena. Visibly intoxicated guests will not be allowed to enter and/or may be asked to leave.  No signs/banners will be allowed.

Uplifter, the band's first album in almost four years, was released June 2nd on Volcano Records.

State Radio is an Alternative Rock band from Boston, MA, consisting of former Dispatch member Chad Urmston (lead vocals, guitar), Chuck Fay (bass) and Mike Najarian (drums). The band's third album, Let It Go, is slated for release on September 29th, 2009.

They Might Be Giants is an Alternative Rock band from Brooklyn, New York that was founded by John Linnell and John Flansburgh and are often joined on stage and on recordings by Dan Miller, Danny Wienkauf, Marty Beller, Dan Levine and Curt Ramm. The band recently won the 2009 Grammy for "Best Children's Album" for a kids' project called Here Come the 123s. TMBG perform frequently, make videos and podcasts and do a fair amount of television work.

This will be Zombie's first headline tour since 2007 and will have other ghoulish delights in tow including openers Nekromantix and Captain Clegg & The Night Creatures last seen rocking Haddonfield and Michael Myers in Zombie's new film Halloween II. The tour will usher in Zombie's forthcoming album Hellbilly Deluxe 2 - Noble Jackals, Penny Dreadfuls and the Systematic Dehumanization of Cool (Geffen), a companion to the 1998 original.

The tour is hosted by Uncle Seymour Coffins, seen recently in Halloween II. Zombie will be accompanied by his longtime band mates - guitarist John 5, bassist Piggy D. and drummer Tommy Clufetos.

The "Hellbilly Deluxe 2 World Tour" will mark Zombie's return to the road after much box office success as the writer and director of Halloween II (Dimension). His R-rated, animated feature, The Haunted World Of El Superbeasto, will also be available everywhere on DVD and Blu-ray September 22nd.

In 2008, Anvil! The Story of Anvil, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival to much critical acclaim.  The film documents the band's road to success and has been hailed as "The Year's Greatest Rock Movie" by Rolling Stone.
